My first thought when I even hear the word vinegar is the smell. It freakin stinks! As smelly as it is it can clean. Vinegar doesnt kill 99.9% of germs so it isn't registered as a disinfectant with the EPA, however, it does work as an alternative to bleach. In my opinion, it works almost just as good. Vinegar is easily accessible and won't kill you or your pockets. I put together a short and sweet "Life Hack" in order for you to get the most out of the stinky household item. Oh and yeah it is National White Vinegar Day
Once a week brush your teeth with vinegar to remove stains and whiten your teeth.
Clean your loofah by soaking it in vinegar, it helps clean it up, get rid of soap residue and build-up.
Clean up glass or faucets. Spray your 1/2 water 1/2 white vinegar solution onto your glass or fixtures, then wipe with a paper towel. Now, look at your reflection!
If you get gum stuck in your clothes to saturate the gum with warm vinegar removes stickers, price tags, and glue.
Make your silver shine again! Rub your jewelry with a vinegar-soaked cloth or let your pretty rings soak in vinegar then wipe.
I'm a tea drinker. I actually use my kettle!! Swish your vinegar and water solution in your tea kettle rise and wipe all the tea gunk away!
If you've got a detachable showerhead, fill a plastic bag with vinegar and tie it around your shower head for a few hours!! Next time you shower, you'll notice how full and powerful your stream is after soaking in vinegar.
Finally, did you know you could use vinegar as a de-icer in the winter months? Mix 1 part water and 1 part white vinegar in your trusty spray bottle, either spray on your windshield to remove ice or at night so you won't have so much to scrape in the morning.
How many of these "hacks" have you ever used? Are any of them new to you? Which ways do you use vinegar to clean?
